As I reached the milestone of turning 30, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of falling behind.
Join me as I explore this phase of life and find comfort in my unique path.
Turning 30 is a significant milestone, and for many of us, it comes with mixed emotions. I
found myself reflecting on my achievements and comparing my journey to others’. It’s easy
to feel like you’re behind, but I’ve learned that everyone’s path is different, and there’s no
set timeline for success.
1. Embracing Self-Reflection
Self-reflection has been crucial in understanding where I am and where I want to go. Taking
time to reflect on my experiences, accomplishments, and lessons learned helps me
appreciate my unique journey. It’s about recognizing that my path is mine alone and finding
peace with where I am. Reflecting on my personal growth and the challenges I’ve
overcome helps me build confidence and set realistic goals for the future.
2. Finding Solitude
In my busy life, I don’t have the time to sit in a coffee shop. Instead, I find solace in
solitude. I take time to enjoy my own company and write down my thoughts, questions,
feelings, goals, and aspirations. This practice has been incredibly grounding, allowing me
to process my emotions and gain clarity about my path forward.
3. Developing New Hobbies
I’ve developed hobbies such as reading and writing, which have been fulfilling and
enriching. Additionally, I enjoy trying new things, like making Natto or starting a YouTube
channel. These activities not only keep me engaged but also provide opportunities for
personal growth and creativity.
4. Connecting with YouTubers on a Similar Path
The only connecting I’ve done is finding YouTubers who are on a similar path of becoming
or who have already become single mothers by choice because of age. Watching their
journeys and experiences has been a source of inspiration and support, helping me feel
less alone in my own journey.
5. Practicing Gratitude
Reaching 30 has made me reflect on the things I own that would have been considered
luxuries a century ago. I am grateful for my education, a steady job, owning a car, and
renting a nice apartment. Practicing gratitude for these achievements helps me appreciate
the progress I’ve made and the privileges I have.
Turning 30 may come with its challenges, but it’s also a time for new beginnings and selfdiscovery. By embracing my unique journey and finding comfort in the present, I’m learning
to navigate this phase with grace and optimism. Remember, it’s not about where you are
compared to others, but about how far you’ve come and where you’re headed.
